This is mainly because materials such as metals are being replaced by lighter, more innovative materials. Applications include structural components as well as functional and design elements for aircraft interiors. These aviation and aerospace plastic components are manufactured by machining from stock shapes or material saving injection molded blanks.

Aerospace safety through certification and qualification

As a reliable partner to the aerospace industry, we are an EN 9100 certified machining company. Ensinger is one of the few plastic component suppliers to be on the approved supplier list of renowned OEMs and Tier 1 in the aerospace supply chain. 
Through many years of working with aerospace OEMs, we are able to provide documentation in accordance with FAI EN 9102 and DVI PPAP. In addition, we have OEM and quest. We offer a range of high-performance and engineering plastics that are tested and approved to meet the important aerospace fire safety requirements of FAR 25.853 and JAR 25.853.Tier1 component approval for assembly and further processing. We can also provide EN 10204-2.1, 2.2 and 3.1 certificates.

Material diversity for machining

Our end-to-end manufacturing process not only includes the production of classic plates, rods and tubes from our own compounds. In addition to these stock shapes, as a broad spectrum supplier to the aerospace industry, we can also produce material saving injection molded blanks for further machining or individually manufactured profiles as blanks.
