The Wilfried and Martha Ensinger Foundation plans and organises the main charitable projects for the company and the owner family. Its activities focus on social projects in Africa (Nigeria), Eastern Europe (Ukraine) and India. In addition, scientific work in plastics technology at German-speaking universities and cultural projects in southern Germany are supported. The foundation works closely with local co-operation partners on social projects. The projects are supported over many years in order to achieve lasting improvements.

The Working Group on Plastics Technology (Wissenschaftlicher Arbeitskreis Kunststoffe, WAK) is made up of professors in the field of plastics technology. An annual WAK jury honors the best and most innovative theses in the field of plastics technology with the aim of documenting important advances in the science and technology of plastics as well as motivating and supporting young talent in their important work. The Ensinger Foundation donates prices to honor master's theses and dissertations on the development and description of engineering plastics for innovative applications.
