TECAFORM AH RP natural
Reprocessed POM-C
TECAFORM AH RP natural (polyoxymethylene, copolymer) is manufactured from reprocessed POM-C and is an alternative to our conventional TECAFORM AH natural. However, this is not POM recycling, but rather the reprocessing of POM by-products sourced from returns via the Ensinger take-back programme.
Compared with the fossil-based variant, TECAFORM AH RP natural has a lower product carbon footprint and, like the fossil-based variant, is an unfilled, non-porous POM-C copolymer with exceptional physical properties. It offers high mechanical strength and stiffness, low wear, minimal moisture absorption and excellent dimensional stability. These properties make the POM-C plastic ideal for a wide range of demanding applications across various industries. Furthermore, the reprocessed POM exhibits high toughness and excellent chemical resistance even at low temperatures. Ensinger produces TECAFORM AH RP in the form of POM tubes, POM plates and POM rods made from reprocessed POM plastic.
The material forms part of Ensinger’s ‘Reuse for Tomorrow’ solutions. These comprise carefully developed products which, thanks to a lower PCF compared with their respective fossil-based equivalents, can help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The relevant PCF values and information on how they are calculated can be found in the downloads section.
