POM-H black is a homopolymer acetal material that is manufactured by Ensinger (using Delrin® resin) under the tradename TECAFORM AD black. With regard to the properties of POM-H black, the material exibits a high melting point and high strength, but is sensitive to hydrolysis with continuous exposure to hot water over 60°C and steam. Black Delrin, like all other POM-H materials, holds a slightly higher density, hardness and strength than POM-C. Furthermore, POM-H black has excellent wear resistance and good sliding properties, as well as an outstanding machining ability, thus, making POM-H black an extremely adaptable engineering material.
