From idea to innovation 

At Ensinger, we believe in the power of innovation. Without the inventive spirit of our founder, Wilfried Ensinger, and the drive to continually improve, we and our customers would not be where we are today. That's why we have developed the Incubator. The Incubator represents 4 key milestones in the realisation of innovative ideas. The Incubator enables us to find, evaluate and implement new ideas in a structured way to achieve the best possible results for us and our customers.

The milestones of scouting, business model, business case and start-up are complemented and supported by selection processes, dedicated experts and specialised personnel. In this way, new ideas find a structural place in the New Business Factory and are implemented as start-ups after a successful scouting, model and case phase. This gives the idea provider the chance to realise his idea as a start-up leader.

  • Idea collection
    In the scouting phase of the incubator, we gather ideas from internal and external sources. The barrier to entry is low and we provide rapid feedback on how to pursue the idea. 
    Our search focuses on innovations and technologies in the field of high-performance plastics that embody the essence of Ensinger and have both technical excellence and market potential. In our idea pool, we are particularly looking for technical breakthroughs and high-temperature plastics that advance the needs of our customers.
  • Evaluation and selection
     A team of experts from various fields and disciplines evaluates the ideas according to criteria such as Ensinger DNA, market potential, technical novelty and degree of maturity. Only the most promising ideas are pursued and developed further in the innovation funnel. The innovation funnel of our incubator includes several evaluation and selection stages to continuously check market potential and feasibility, estimate necessary and possible resources and thus realise the idea's maximum potential.
  • Taking the idea to the next level
    Our New Business Factory is the place where idea providers and teams of experts come together to develop and concretise ideas. This is where business plans are developed, resources are provided and concepts for the creation of an internal start-up are fleshed out. As the start-up leader, the idea provider can actively drive the idea forward, drawing on a team of experts in areas such as technology, production, sales and marketing. 
    Our experts will help you turn your idea into reality. We will help you develop the technical and market aspects of your idea and create a business case.
  • Business case 
    The business case is presented to the board and selected experts to validate the business model, initial experience, market feedback and potential. Ideas are evaluated on a number of criteria including customer focus, solution approach, likelihood of benefit and value added compared to existing solutions.
  • Bringing the idea to market
    If your idea survives the 'shark tank' and the majority of experts are in favour of funding, we work on the implementation and take the idea to market.
