Our guiding part for medical diagnostics

In the world of medical diagnostics, plastic plays a major role. One area is computer tomography, where one of our plastic parts is used.  
In these systems, two X-ray sources rotate around the patient at high speed. In this process, the component specially developed by Ensinger takes on the task of holding and supporting these components.   
The guiding part used for this task is made of TECAPEEK, which is particularly characterized by its durability. Its very good radiation resistance also ensures that the part is very stable despite high loads, thus reducing maintenance and servicing costs. While metal has a shielding effect and can therefore ensure that the images generated by the device are disturbed, plastic has the advantage that its irregular atomic arrangement makes it permeable to X-rays and therefore does not generate image interference.

The special feature in this sophisticated blank is that it is injected without voids despite its large wall thickness. Ensinger has decades of experience in the production of injection molded parts and stands by its customers as a reliable solution provider, even for complex issues.
