3D printed extraction nozzle
Boosting efficiency with innovative industrial cleaning systems
Efficiency is paramount in modern manufacturing environments. A recurring problem in material processing is the generation of drill chips, for example during simultaneous double drilling on machines. Existing methods for removing the chips are time-consuming and often result in increased contamination of the working environment.
This challenge also affected Ensinger's internal production areas. Our production colleagues needed an effective solution to continuously and simultaneously extract the swarf during simultaneous double drilling - without manual effort and without contaminating the production environment. The solution had to be cost-effective, enable precise positioning over the drill holes and be easy to manufacture and install.
Tailor-made production with Ensinger's 3D printing service
Based on the requirements of our production colleagues, the Ensinger 3D team developed an innovative extraction nozzle using TECAFIL PA6 GF30 black. The material from our extensive filament portfolio not only offers the necessary stiffness and robustness for use in demanding production environments, but can also be produced cost-effectively on standard 3D printers such as the Ultimaker. By using an Ensinger material, we were able to draw on our in-house expertise throughout the production process, which further supported the development and realisation of this solution.
Using 3D printing, we were able to produce the component quickly, accurately and efficiently, allowing it to be smoothly integrated into the production process. The precise positioning of the extraction nozzle above the drill holes ensures effective chip extraction throughout the drilling process.Optimising production processes with 3D printed industrial cleaning equipment

Benefit from our 3D print Service
The component was manufactured and ready for installation in a matter of hours. The implementation of the new solution led to a significant improvement in the production environment. Manual chip extraction has been eliminated, which not only saves time, but also increases productivity and improves the overall efficiency of the production process. Employees can now concentrate on value-adding activities, while chip extraction is performed automatically and reliably.
By using modern materials and production technologies, companies have the opportunity to optimise their processes and strengthen their competitiveness. We would be pleased to advise you personally on applications and material selection.
