PEEK compound with a good flowability reinforced with 30 % carbon fibers

The semi crystalline thermoplastic polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is characterised by its outstanding resistance. It resists virtually all organic and inorganic chemicals as well as high energy electromagnetic waves such as gamma and X-rays. Its diverse applications range from aerospace to dental technology. 

The good mechanical properties of the base plastic are additionally reinforced in TECACOMP PEEK 150 CF30 black with 30 % carbon fibers. The compound offers outstanding mechanical properties, stiffness and tensile strength at low density and can be used permanently up to 260 °C, and for short periods up to 300 °C.  

The carbon fibers increase thermal conductivity and make the compound electrically conductive. The base polymer PEEK 150G has a higher flowability than standard PEEK. In injection molding, it enables the production of thin-walled, complex components. An integrated demolding aid facilitates removal from the injection mold.
