TECACOMP PPS TRM XS black 1061043

Tribologically optimised PPS compound with high strength

Due to its excellent mechanical and chemical resistance, polyphenylene sulphide (PPS) is a valued material for applications in automotive and mechanical engineering, even at high temperatures. The highly crystalline thermoplastic resists solvents as well as numerous acids and alkalis and can be used permanently up to 230 °C and for short periods up to 260 °C.

Carbon fibres reinforce the already high strength of the compound, which absorbs only a small amount of moisture and has high dimensional and creep resistance. For tribological optimisation, graphite and a mineral filler are added. This intrinsic solid lubrication ensures that TECACOMP PPS TRM XS has a high dry-running capacity, especially with metallic mating partners.
