TECACOMP PPS TRM PVX black 1061042

Mechanically and tribologically optimised PPS compound

Polyphenylene sulphide (PPS) is a highly crystalline thermoplastic whose polymers retain their excellent mechanical and chemical resistance even at very high temperatures. Solvents below 200 °C are not known. Many acids and alkalis cannot harm the plastic either. PPS has high strength and stiffness and can be used permanently up to 230 °C and for short periods up to 260 °C.

By adding carbon fibres, as well as mineral fillers such as graphite and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), the mechanical and tribological properties are additionally strengthened. The PPS compound absorbs only a small amount of moisture and therefore has a high dimensional and creep resistance. TECACOMP PPS TRM PVX black is used primarily in mechanical engineering and vehicle construction.
