GLASS FIBRE PEEK COMPOSITE WITH AEROSPACE CERTIFICATION

Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is a high temperature thermoplastic that retains its outstanding properties such as superior strength and stiffness permanently up to 260 °C, and even up to 300 °C for short periods. Reinforced with 50 vol% glass fibres, TECATEC PEEK GF50 S296 natural is suitable for a wide range of technical applications. 
The inherently flame-retardant and electrically non conductive composite material is certified according to FAR 25.825 and is suitable for structural parts in the aerospace industry.
Its abrasion resistance is also used in sports equipment, mechanical engineering and vehicle powertrains. The high chemical resistance makes the PEEK composite interesting for medical technology as well as the petrochemical industry.
Ensinger produces glass fibre reinforced PEEK composites as powder-coated fabrics (semipreg, CP), fully impregnated single-layer prepregs (IP) and multilayer organosheets (OS) in widths up to 1270 mm. Where high strength, low weight, electrical conductivity or medical approval are required, the carbon fibre reinforced variant is the obvious choice (TECATEC PEEK CF50 T200 natural).
