CARBON REINFORCED PEEK FIBRE COMPOSITE MATERIAL

Lightweight and resilient to high temperatures, this FAR25.873-certified composite opens up a wide range of possible applications. 50 vol% carbon fibres give the polyetheretherketone (PEEK) high tensile, compressive and flexural strength and stiffness. The high temperature plastic can be used permanently up to 260 °C with low thermal expansion, and up to 300 °C for short periods. 
Thanks to its excellent properties, the PEEK composite material can replace metal components in aerospace applications as well as in automotive and mechanical engineering.
Due to its high chemical resistance, TECATEC PEEK CF50 T200 is also suitable for the oil and gas industry.
Ensinger manufactures carbon fibre reinforced PEEK semipregs (CP) and prepregs (IP) as well as multilayer organosheets (OS). TECATEC PEEK CF50 natural is also available with an atlas fabric with an areal weight of 280g/m2.
As an alternative with glass fibre reinforcement, TECATEC PEEK GF50 S296 natural is available.
