TECACOMP PEEK TRM PVX black 1046944
Proven problem solver made of PEEK for tribological bearing applications
Due to its resistance to high temperatures and almost all organic and inorganic chemicals, polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is valued in mechanical engineering and the automotive industry, e.g. for bearing applications. Applicable up to 260 °C, for a short time even up to 300 °C, the plastic is resistant to hydrolysis and hot steam. Even acid gases or heavy oil cannot harm it.
With their low specific density, carbon fibres increase the modulus of elasticity and improve the mechanical strength of TECACOMP PEEK TRM PVX. In order to tribologically optimise the compound's sliding properties and wear resistance, graphite and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) are added. Thanks to this intrinsic solid lubrication, applications without lubricants are also possible.
