TECACOMP PEEK 450 ID blue 1014884

Detectable, highly temperature resistant PEEK compound

TECACOMP PEEK 450 ID blue is a highly temperature resistant PEEK compound with good detectability for the food industry. With low to medium filling levels, the material is just below the Ensinger Detection Level MID.

The compound is used for the production of components in the environment of food or packaging systems. And here in particular for high material requirements, for example resistance to high temperatures, hydrolysis or chemicals. Possible applications for TECACOMP PEEK 450 ID are sliding components, guide rollers, chain guides in ovens, linings of tanks, thermoformed parts or nozzles of cleaning equipment.

The compound is recognised by metal and X-ray detectors, which are usually installed in food production to find metal fragments. Due to the blue-grey inherent colour (similar to RAL 7031), plastic parts can also be visually identified. Ensinger TECACOMP ID compounds are approved for direct contact with food (FDA and EU 10/2011).

The base compound PEEK is a thermoplastic semi-crystalline high-performance plastic. Thanks to its high thermal and chemical resistance, good friction and sliding properties and high strength, it is primarily used for components subject to heavy loads.

TECACOMP PEEK 450 ID blue is available as a compound. Sample plates (80 x 80 x 3 mm) and tensile test bars can be ordered for detection tests. A detection kit enables tests to be carried out directly on the end customer's equipment.
