TECACOMP PEEK XT TRM PVX black 1061177
Tribologically optimised PEEK with increased heat resistance
Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is one of the thermoplastics with the highest chemical and thermal resistance. Thanks to an optimised polymer structure, this compound has increased heat resistance. It can be used up to 260 °C permanently and up to 300 °C for short periods. The glass transition temperature is 170 °C, the melting point 385 °C, i.e. around 20 °C and 40 °C higher than standard PEEK.
The addition of carbon fibres further improves the mechanical strength and modulus of elasticity of TECACOMP PEEK XT TRM PVX. Mineral fillers such as graphite and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) provide intrinsic solid lubrication and also enable dry-running applications.
