TECACOMP PP ID blue 1061097

PP-H compound with very good detectability for the food industry

Polypropylene homopolymer (PP-H) has good stiffness, hardness and strength. In the compound, outstanding visibility and detectability is achieved by adding blue colour additive (similar to RAL 5000) and a high degree of metal-based filler.

This makes TECACOMP PP ID blue particularly suitable for use in the food industry (in accordance with FDA and EU 10/2011), for example for gullet and weasand clips in meat processing or cable ties for closing packaging materials.

The plastic compound with the Ensinger Detection Level High (tested by RONDOTEST) ensures that even the smallest particles of the material are reliably detected by metal or X-ray detectors in food production. Contaminated products can then be sorted out immediately.

The compound can be used permanently up to 100 °C, briefly up to 130 °C. It is characterised by low density and good toughness without stress cracking as well as very good chemical resistance and low water absorption.

Where increased impact strength is required, the compound TECACOMP PP ID blue with a matrix of polypropylene copolymer (PP-C) is suitable. Sample plates (80 x 80 x 3 mm), tensile test bars or a detection kit are available for detection tests.
