Medical PEEK natural is suitable for use in medical applications and combines the excellent property profile of standard PEEK with requirements for biocompatibility. Victrex® PEEK polymer is used for these materials and processed in compliance with the relevant product quality requirements for use in medical applications. The respective stock shapes are tested for their biocompatibility according to ISO 10993 and show exceptional resistance to repeated steam autoclaving without loss of dimensional stability or physical properties. Additionally, TECAPEEK MT natural is tested according to USP Class VI. TECAPEEK MT can be ordered in a wide range of color options and dimensions. TECAPEEK MT XRO is made with a contrast additive, that makes it suitable for minimally invasive surgical procedures as an X-ray opaque material.
