Insights from our trainees

Since we at Ensinger attach great importance to a broad education in the development of our junior staff, our trainees and DH students pass through many different departments in order to get to know the various processing methods - including injection molding at the Rottenburg-Ergenzingen site.

There are currently 45 trainees and DH students working at our sites in Nufringen and Ergenzingen in 6 apprenticeships and 5 dual study programs.

We asked our trainee Jocy (process mechanic in her 3rd year of training) and our freshly graduated trainee Nikolai (tool mechanic) a few questions about their training at Ensinger.

Why did you choose Ensinger?

Both quickly agreed that the company has a good reputation in the plastics industry. For Nikolai, a company like Ensinger with local connections and ties to the region was a decisive factor in choosing his training company.

As Jocy had already completed a number of internships in the plastics industry, she knew where she wanted to go long before she applied. An acquaintance who has been with Ensinger for many years recommended the apprenticeship to her.

What do you like best so far?

"Every day is different. You learn so much and can quickly take on your own tasks, which gives you a good feeling," says Jocy. Both emphasize the working atmosphere. There is an open and friendly atmosphere with everyone, from colleagues to trainers and management. Nikolai likes the events for trainees and DH students. "You get to know your fellow trainees and students personally and grow together as a team. And of course the injection molding tool making department, where I now work after my training," he laughs.

What advice would you give to future trainees and DH students?

Asking questions helped me a lot. Even though I probably asked one or two questions more than once, I was always helped," says Jocy.

Nikolai's answer is simple: "Don't be afraid to apply. The training department is super nice and made the application process very pleasant.

As a company, we value a variety of tasks and personal development because we want you to show what you can do.
The plastics industry is constantly evolving. New technologies and sustainability are shaping the future - be part of it and actively shape it.
