PEEK Filament

TECAFIL PEEK VX natural is an unfilled PEEK filament based on Victrex® PEEK 450. PEEK (polyetheretherketone) is a high performance plastic with exceptionally high thermal, mechanical and chemical resistance. Due to its balanced physical properties, PEEK is used in demanding applications in industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical, semiconductors and oil and gas.
Printed components made of PEEK filaments can be used at temperatures of up to 260 °C, always maintaining excellent chemical resistance as well as mechanical properties.
Since our PEEK filament has excellent dimensional stability, it is often used where high precision parts are required. In the recent past, many metal applications have been replaced by PEEK plastic. In the field of additive manufacturing, 3D printing with PEEK is also a good alternative to metal, especially when good mechanical properties and chemical resistance are required.
When it comes to the production of prototypes or small series, it is often easier to print a PEEK filament than to process metal or plastic traditionally.
Due to the frequent use of Victrex PEEK in industrial applications, it is often found in material specifications as "Victrex PEEK 450" or similar descriptions.
The 3D printing process allows fast and easy production of parts and thus replacement in applications, but this must comply with the specifications.
In these cases, TECAFIL PEEK VX natural is the ideal solution and an alternative to TECAFIL PEEK EV natural.
The base polymer of this filament meets the requirements for food contact according to (EC) No 1935/2004, (EU) No 10/2011, (EC) No 2023/2006 and FDA. Migration tests according to EU 10/2011 were successfully performed on similar extruded specimens. Legally binding documents must be requested separately.
