TECACOMP PEEK GR15 TF15 black 1061060
Dry-running PEEK compound for demanding environments
Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is extremely thermally and chemically resistant. The application temperature can reach 260 °C permanently, for short periods up to 300 °C. Due to its low moisture absorption and low thermal expansion, the high-performance plastic remains dimensionally stable even at high temperatures.
PEEK is resistant to almost all organic and inorganic chemicals, even acid gases (e.g. H2S) or heavy oil do not bother it. The plastic is resistant to hydrolysis and hot steam and even high-energy electromagnetic waves such as X-rays or gamma radiation.
The good tribological sliding and friction properties of the base polymer were further improved for TECACOMP PEEK GR15 TF15 with graphite and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). Thanks to the solid lubrication, the compound can be run dry. It is in particular demand in the automotive and mechanical engineering industries, for example for the production of linear plain bearings.
