PET injection moulding

Injection moulded PET parts

We process polyethylene terephthalate PET and PET compounds by injection moulding for a wide range of industries and mechanical applications. As an injection moulding solution provider and expert, our priority is to develop custom moulded parts and meet our customers' needs.

Injection moulding of PET compounds

Polyethylene terephthalate (PET/PETP) is a thermoplastic, semi-crystalline polymer with very high dimensional stability, excellent wear resistance and low coefficient of sliding friction. Other characteristics of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) are its good chemical resistance and low moisture absorption. PET plastic is well suited for injection moulded parts with high demands on dimensional accuracy and surface quality.

PET processing technology

We process PET at our injection moulding sites. Our engineering knowledge and experience guarantee our customers excellent product properties of the PET moulded parts.
Gentle processing of PET materials during the injection moulding process is critical.  This ensures the desired mechanical properties of the moulded part, including short dwell times of the material in the cylinder and the avoidance of overheating and thermal damage.
Prior to this, good drying of the material is of paramount importance. As PET material has a certain water absorption, it absorbs a lot of water during transport, storage and use. This must be removed before the pellets are used, otherwise the properties will change during injection moulding.
Our state-of-the-art material drying systems ensure optimum preparation of the material and the necessary residual moisture and supplies the injection moulding machines automatically.

Pet injection moulding solutions - application examples

Improved efficiency and lower friction losses in mechanical applications with PET injection moulded parts - our expertise in injection moulding thin-walled and dimensionally stable PET parts such as rings, sliding elements, washers or bushings improves the durability and running conditions of applications.
Wear-resistant PET moulded parts are also used in clutches, bearings or gears in industrial applications such as mechanical engineering and automotive, or in the food industry for guide rails, stop units, rollers and grippers.
