Glass fibre filled PPS composite plate

This polyphenylenesulfide (PPS) based material has been reinforced with 50 vol% glass fibre. PPS is a semi-crystalline, highly temperature resistant thermoplastic, which is known for its excellent chemical resistance. Good creep resistance and low water absorption are additional features of the PPS sheet. Thanks to the glass fibre fabric reinforcement, TECATEC PPS GW50 PL V01 natural offers high stiffness and strength at a competitive price. The mechanical properties of the glass filled plastic are retained even at high temperatures, since PPS has a continuous service temperature of over 200 °C.

This reinforced thermoplastic material also offers excellent electrical insulation and high resistance to leakage current and is therefore suitable for electrical applications.
Due to the inherent flame retardancy, the excellent chemical resistance and the high temperature resistance, PPS composite is ideally suited for demanding applications in transportation, safety engineering, oil and gas and general mechanical engineering. 

Just like the carbon fibre-reinforced material TECATEC PPS CW50 PL V01 natural, the glass filled thermoplastic TECATEC PPS GW50 PL V01 natural is manufactured in sheets with a thickness from 1 mm up to 95 mm, without any minimum order quantity.
