TECASINT 6062 black
Modified Polyimide filled with graphite and PTFE for Direct Forming
The basis of this type, modified with graphite and PTFE, is a non-meltable and high-temperature resistant polyimide plastic. TECASINT 6062 black is a further development of the unfilled type TECASINT 6012 natural and can also only be processed in the direct forming process. This material is a polyimide that was specially developed for tribological applications that require very good sliding/friction properties at high temperatures and moderate PV values. Due to the graphite/PTFE combination, the polyimide TECASINT 6062 black has the lowest static friction compared to the other types of the 6000 series.
This prevents a stick-slip effect in low-speed sliding applications. Like all PI polymers, this type also has good resistance to high-energy radiation and chemicals. The polymer is suitable for applications in mechanical engineering, aerospace technology and the automotive industry.
