Carbon reinforced PEEK composite plate

This composite plate is based on the high-performance polymer polyetheretherketone, also known as PEEK, and has been reinforced with 50 vol% carbon fibre fabric. PEEK is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic with very high heat resistance and excellent mechanical properties. Due to the woven carbon fibre reinforcement in TECATEC PEEK CW50 PL V01 natural, these properties are improved many times compared to an unfilled PEEK plastic.

The carbon reinforced plastic is thus characterised by its excellent strength and stiffness. Since the PEEK composite achieves a continuous service temperature of up to 260 °C, it is ideal for applications where high temperature resistance is required. Combined with high dimensional stability and an extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion, the fibre reinforced thermoplastic is suitable for use in many different demanding industries such as industrial, aerospace and oil and gas.
In addition to the very good mechanical and thermal properties, the chemical resistance and inherent flame-retardant properties of the carbon fibre reinforced thermoplastic are also excellent. 

TECATEC PEEK CW50 PL V01 natural is available with different fibre architectures regarding the reinforcing fabric. The PEEK composite plates are available from 1 mm to a maximum thickness of 95 mm, with no minimum order requirement.
