At plastics processor Ensinger, Oliver Stiegen has taken over leadership of the company’s Injection Molding division. The 48-year-old mechanical engineer previously worked for the Swedish SKF Group.
Ensinger’s globally oriented Injection Molding division manufactures precision components and complete assemblies from high-performance plastics. The injection molding plant in Rottenburg-Ergenzingen is the German development and production site for this company division. Additional factories belonging to the Ensinger Group are located in Putnam, CT (USA), São Leopoldo (Brazil) and Shanghai (China).
The new head of division Oliver Stiegen brings many years of experience from different technology companies and sectors to the role. After his degree in his mechanical engineering, specializing in production technology, he began his career in the sales department of a Varta subsidiary. Based within the automotive battery business unit, his roles included two years as a Key Account Manager in Gothenburg. This was followed by three years working for the Sales department of automotive supplier Johnson Controls, after which Stiegen switched to SKF, an international manufacturer of roller bearings, seals and lubrication systems. Here he held a variety of managerial positions in the areas of Sales and Development and ultimately was responsible for the global product group comprising tapered roller bearings. He then took up his role with Ensinger at the start of January.
