On December 15th 1987, Ensinger’s UK story began with just three people at the helm and an aspiring vision to dominate the UK engineering plastics market. Over the next 30 years, Ensinger grew and flourished to become a leader in its field. Today, the company employees 290 people and consists of 5 stock shapes branches, 2 machine shops, a building profile company and a manufacturing facility. It is without doubt that the commitment and drive of the employees has significantly contributed to the Company’s achievements, and has laid a firm foundation for the future.
July 14th saw temperatures soar to 28°C in many parts of Wales, and what better weather for employees and their families to celebrate this impressive milestone. The company put on a spectacular funfair event on the grounds of its head office, to show appreciation to its employees. Being heavily involved in the community, Ensinger also extended the invitation to families from the local primary school, Cwmlai.
The staff car park was entirely transformed, complete with a helter skelter, inflatable games and rides, ice cream and popcorn stalls, a magician, balloon modelling, plenty of refreshments and entertainment for all. The celebrations continued into the evening in the 30ft marquee, where the Soul Funk band took to the stage followed by a disco. Everyone partied and danced into the late night, reminiscing over the last 30 years.
