Polyphenylene sulphide (PPS) is characterised by a particularly high resistance to thermal and chemical environmental influences. Reinforced with glass fibre fabric, this semi-crystalline high temperature thermoplastic has superior strength and stiffness. 
Electrically insulating and inherently flame retardant (tested according to FAR 25.873), the composite TECATEC PPS GF50 P203 natural is well suited for semi-structural parts in aerospace applications.
The high resistance to chemicals, solvents and hydrolysis - even at permanent temperatures of up to 230 °C - also make the composite interesting for the petrochemical industry. 
The low moisture absorption, high dimensional stability and excellent mechanical properties are also valued in the automotive and mechanical engineering industries. Ensinger's coated semipregs (CP), fully impregnated prepregs (IP) and multi-layer organosheets (OS) are available in widths up to 1270 mm.
