TECAMID 12 natural is a semi crystalline polyamide 12 with very high toughness and good chemical resistance, with reduced sensitivity to stress cracking. The TECAMID Nylon 12 properties include the lowest water absorption characteristics of all polyamides, which means any parts made from PA 12 should remain stable in humid environments. In addition to this, PA 12 also has good impact resistance, good slide friction properties, and good wear resistance. Compared to other polyamides, Polyamide 12 has one of the lowest melting points available at 180°C, and a comparably low density of 1,02 g/cm³.
