TECAFORM AH ELS black

electrically active POM-C with carbon black filler​, ESD

Acetal copolymer (POM-C) material modified by the addition of a special conductive carbon black is manufactured by Ensinger under the tradename TECAFORM AH ELS black. The addition of carbon black creates consistent electrical conductivity with a surface resistivity between 102 – 104 Ω/sq. Carbon black filled POM-C offers good chemical resistance, high strength and hardness, and a long-term temperature resistance up to 100 °C. In addition, carbon black filled POM-C has good UV and weather resistance. Having exceptional wear properties as well, makes this special acetal copolymer an ideal choice also for sliding applications.

TECAFORM AH ELS black is included in Ensinger's semiconductor grade portfolio, that is produced with stringent contamination controls, and offering copy-exact compliance. Therefore, Ensinger ensures the highest level of quality performance consistency of this unique property profile. Conductive POM-C material is the perfect choice for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing equipment parts, requiring mechanical stability under moderate temperatures, while protecting electronic devices from damaging electrostatic discharges (ESD).

For applications requiring a slower rate of decay of static charge in a controlled manner, Ensinger offers TECAFORM AH SD natural with a surface resistivity in the anti-static range between 10– 1011 Ω/sq. For applications requiring temperature resistance above 100 °C, Ensinger offers a conductive PEEK grade under the tradename TECAPEEK ELS nano black, with temperature resistance up to 260 °C.

As with all Ensinger semiconductor grade materials, we can confirm that TECAFORM AH ELS black meets the limitations imposed by RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU Restriction of Hazardous Substances in electrical equipment, and can also provide further conformity declarations on request.
